Why this laboratory exists
“A laboratory is only worth the confidence you can place in its worst result, not its best one.”
We built Nexus because the businesses we serve deserve a laboratory that tells them the truth quickly, and tells them plainly when the truth is inconvenient. A certificate that everyone passes is worth nothing to the company holding it, and nothing to the consumer standing behind it.
That is why this site states, service by service, what is accredited, what we run in house outside the accredited scope, and what a partner laboratory runs for us. Not every laboratory publishes that distinction. We would rather you knew exactly what you are buying before you send us a sample than discover it afterwards.
We are part of the QSI group, and we say so on every page. The laboratory and the certification body are different companies with different obligations, and the boundary between them is written down, declared and audited rather than assumed. You will find it stated in full in our impartiality policy.
If the result you get from us is not the result you wanted, it will still be the result your sample gave. That is the whole promise, and everything else here is the machinery that keeps it.
